What is it? “Training Camp” is an important part of NYO’s football program which includes two (2) days of “Heads-Up” instruction and light conditioning for players beginning with the 2nd grade league. The Camp will be led by NYO coaches and former NFL players. Falcons players, Buddy Curry, who along with former NFL players will provide hands-on-teaching of skill fundamentals, as well as instruction in the character values engendered by football that are the key to success on and off the football field.
What are the Objectives?
- Enhance player safety by providing instruction on proper techniques before tryouts;
- Provide players with limited conditioning and heat acclimation; and
- Listen to character lessons from former NFL players and Buddy Curry’s staff.
Who should attend? All NYO players beginning with the 2nd Grade League should attend and all NYO coaches.

What should players wear? – Players are to wear helmets, mouth pieces, t-shirts, shorts, socks and football cleats. (Do NOT wear shoulder pads and football pants).

What do parents do during Training Camp? Parents should remain outside the fences during Training Camp.
