NYO Opening Day Parade – Important Information

NYO Opening Day Parade – Important Information

Come out and celebrate NYO baseball and softball! Our youngest players plus Christopher League players will march in a parade at 11:00AM. Opening ceremonies and the official first pitch of the season will take place immediately following the parade on the Jane Wilkins Field.

Players marching in the parade are: the Christopher League, baseball Small Ball, Shetland Blue, Shetland Red, and Rookie, softball Kit Kat and Rookie. Players should be dropped off to waiting volunteers at the sidewalk entrance to the park between Garr Field and Wieuca Road between 10-10:30. Look for the red, white, and blue balloon arch! Players should wear their full uniform but DO NOT bring baseball equipment or food onto Garr Field. After dropping off their player, parents should secure a spot to watch the parade-only coaches and team mom/dad are allowed with the players on Garr Field. Parents will meet their players on Wilkins Field!

Parking will be tight with the main parking lot closed for the parade route. Shuttles will run from 9:00-1:00 from the Sutton Sixth Grade Academy to NYO. Parking is also available at Galloway

Thank you in advance for volunteering your time on Friday and Saturday to make Opening Day the best in NYO history!
